Under the current situation where Hollywood blockbusters are painless and domestic films are thankless, low-cost buyout-type films like "Warrior of the Yellow Sand" are becoming more and more popular in China, and they can always be called The unexpected low-key gesture made a bloody path. It is no wonder that Nicolas Cage, facing the financial crisis, has long regarded the mainland as the second spring. Even at the risk of devoting himself to the publicity campaign in person, it is a "miracle" anyway. In all fairness, "The Yellow Sand Warrior" is by no means a bad movie in the strict sense. "The form is far greater than the content" is naturally its shortcoming, and there are indeed flaws such as the vulgarity of the plot, the powerlessness of the dialogue, and the emptiness of the characterization. But as a film with a first style and an extremely distinct personal ideology, its interpretation is probably not as simple as it is supposed to be. For example, Wu Ershan's "Sword of Swords", the sharp style of the sword is slanted and mixed, which makes everyone criticize and praise: like it very much, dislike it very much, this is its charm. Of course, "Warrior of the Yellow Sand" is still a lot worse than "Swordsman". These words are not self-comforting obscenities, but truly rare pride.

Koreans test the waters of Hollywood, not once or twice. Obviously, it failed again. However, director Li Dongsheng's intention is still very clear, trying to create Korean martial arts characteristics, so as to make Chinese martial arts dwarf. With a strong special effects team behind it, plus a few stars, I feel extremely good about myself. The flickering and dark colors are dazzling, paired with the slow motion throughout, giving the film's background and characters a "perfect" sense of division. It is not to say that this style is unpopular, but to use color to set off emotions. Without a spicy, strong and interesting story, it is difficult to play an effect. On the contrary, it will go to the other extreme, commonly known as: pretending to force. Domestic urban fashion movies have always been difficult to get rid of such a route. Sacrificing the audience's sense of substitution and resonance to highlight the splendor of the picture is really the best interpretation of putting everything aside. "Warrior of the Yellow Sand" uses oriental martial arts stories, nested into western western films, and the special effects of Chenpu's sci-fi movies, with the theme of "carrying out the force to the end", to a large extent determines that this must be a strange smell bean.

Guess it should be limited by Zhang Dongjian's English level, so the film did not arrange much dialogue for him. Most of the time, he always appears in the shape of a sharp brother, with blurred eyes, sighing beard, and light mouth corners. This is a naked provocation to men all over the world. For this reason, the film is essentially a confession of a pretending man, and it is a confession that can only be understood and cannot be expressed at this time. The ultimate goal of the director's stream of consciousness must be to achieve "there are a thousand audiences, there will be a thousand Warriors of the Yellow Sand". A warrior who is at the peak of his skills, fills the void with killing, not killing people, but loneliness. Until he stopped wielding a knife in front of a child, and then moved away from the hustle and bustle, came to the western United States incognito, and lived a life in a paradise. The style of the story has the verve of the oriental martial arts, but the simple and rude way of shaking the burden also leaves the audience with little space for thinking divergence, and it is completely instilled. This is fatal to the goodwill of a movie. The difference between a selfie and a movie is that the former is for personal obscenity and the latter is for the public to enjoy. Movies that talk about themselves and don’t care about the emotions of the audience can easily waste their investment.

Several characters in the film, except for the former Captain Barbusa, have a little charm, and the rest of the others seem to be mediocre soy sauce. It's not that their characters are not clear enough, but that the rustic and tepid civilians are not popular. The film does not have the overlord force the bow when the heroine and the heroine do not call at all, and it ends with the samurai continuing their lonely journey, which is better. Of course, I will not forget to come up with a pretentious bridge again. It should be noted that there are quite a few movies in the style of "Warrior of the Yellow Sand". Koreans seem to have always been happy to do this. There are Rain's "Enduring the Assassin", Jun Zhixian's "Little Night Knife", and Zheng Yusheng's "Zhongtian". At first glance, it seems that the actors all have the ultimate goal of putting on a POSS fashion show. Similar to Hollywood's "The Last Airbender", "Erica", "Ninja", Chen Kaige's "Promise" and so on. I'm not here to make a list of bad movies, but it's true that these movies are strikingly similar. As the saying goes, "bad and vulgar films are similar to bad vulgar films, and good films each have their own good points".
