A long time ago, when I was reading a book about what happened to some intellectuals during the Cultural Revolution, I felt very sorry for them. Maybe they would not be so miserable when they went to Taiwan with Chiang Kai-shek.
Later, I learned about Bai Yang and Li Ao. After things like Green Island, I sighed that the two sides of the strait are the same, they are really unfortunate, why don't they just go to the United States, it's always a free and safe country;
but later, I learned some things. After the McCarthy period, I suddenly realized that the whole world is the same. For the doom of conscientious and bloody people who dare to tell the truth, what should come will always come, no matter where you are.
