I just watched "Juno" yesterday. There is a very interesting scene in the movie: the heroine Juno and a married male musician are talking about whether the taste of "The Storm" or a cult "Blood Magician" is heavy. . So, I found this movie with great interest.
Closer to home, this movie is not as bloody as the general European and American horror movies, but overall it is still a prominent atmosphere, which is a bit similar to Japanese horror movies.
First of all, watching the entire movie gave me an intuitive feeling that the style of the whole movie is too much like the style of "Master of Horror" Edgar Allan Poe (Poe fans will definitely feel this way). The atmosphere is eerie, the story has its historical background, the horror comes from the heart, and the ending often takes a sharp turn. That's the style of Edgar Allan Poe's work, and that's how I understand the film.
Second, the soundtrack is amazing! With the eerie accompaniment, the audience can easily enter the state with the protagonist. I have to say that the soundtrack is one of the highlights of this movie. A lot of metal percussion, drums accompanied by deep vocals, the rhythm is tense and exciting.
Third, bold colors~ It is very interesting to boldly use bright colors to set off a strange atmosphere!
There is a scene in the movie that I like very much, which is the scene where the heroine's roommate sara and the looming murderer (later found to be a person controlled by a witch) chase. The way of shooting is similar to old horror films like Hitchcock's "Psycho" and "Voyeur". Partially magnifying the victim's facial expressions without directly photographing the murderer's killing process, allowing the audience to experience the whole process of the murder from the perspective of the victim.
Finally, as a loyal reader of Edgar Allan Poe, I would like to recommend this "Gloomy Wind" to the audience.
