Faith is a terrible thing

I have always liked NIColas Cage. During the summer vacation, I saw the "Season of the Witch" promotional film when I went to the cinema to watch "Harry potter 7", but unfortunately it has not yet reached the release time. Later, I forgot. I was looking for a movie on the Internet today and found this movie by accident.
I just spent an hour and a half watching this movie, and I felt a little shocked, so I searched for movie reviews (watching movie reviews is a small habit of mine) and found that most people called it a bad movie. What can I say, I think this movie is okay! Although the plot is really simple, there is still a lot of merit. What I feel most deeply is the issue of faith!
In the past few days, I have been studying the general situation of Britain and the United States, which inevitably involves religion. Later, I found that the history of Europe seems to be a history of religion. All coups and wars seem to be inextricably linked with religion. "The Crusades" is also a war about religion.
In the play, Nicolas Cage is just one of the countless Crusaders. He firmly believes in the existence of God. He fights for the god. His beliefs sometimes make people blind and become tools of others without knowing it. But there are still so many people who choose to believe in God, or other fictions, just like in the play, when Nicolas Cage wanted to kill the so called witch, the priest told him, "If you do not kill her, you have the god to blame; but if you really kill her, you can only blame yourself", people's hearts are too fragile, and sometimes they need faith to comfort and escape.
In a single thought, it can be evil or good. Faith can destroy a person, but it can also make a person successful. The key lies in what's on earth on your mind.

Behmen: My vow is to God. Not the men who murder in His name.

  • Hagamar: [locked in a stock] Ah, visitors. What can I do for you gentlemen? Perhaps you'd like to pelt me with fruit or kick me in the groin.
