The only purpose is to snatch limited resources. The so-called political relationship is nothing more than that. The history of WWII looks like watching the Lord of the Rings. Fear and submission to evil forces, as well as distrust of allies, when everyone just wants to protect themselves, death is not far away. Wars will still happen, as long as human nature has weaknesses, as long as human nature has the word selfishness.
