blind worship

As a blind Bogart fan, adoration clouded judgment. But so what? The star is part of the movie, the movie makes the star, and the star also makes the movie. Bogart became famous because of this film.
Needless to say, the concept of "film noir", low-key lighting, femme fatales, dark and damp city corners, male protagonists who are both good and evil, ruthless killers, murders, crimes...
This film appears in the textbook because of the dialogue in the film Scenarios can almost constitute a textbook of pros and cons. Two people, three people, four people, five people... There is no big panorama in the whole film, almost all of them are indoors, and they are all completed by dialogue. That cramped and dark tone also gives the film a sense of tension.
At the end of the film, Bogart received a call from the heroine for help, and went out to call a car to rescue the woman, but it failed. At that time, I suddenly thought that the scene was very similar to the black car driver who often lived at the gate of the community. Because of their familiarity, they even have a good relationship with the owner. Sometimes the big brother's phone will be able to pick up and drop off at a specific place.
Would love to design a film noir of my own. The scene is in the junctions all over the city. Dirty and chaotic places, crowded people, all with complex identities: ants, students, young ladies, migrant workers, landlords, criminals, gang members... That should be interesting.

It is really tiring to read the large dialogue, and the amount of information is still very large, but the characters are indeed pioneering, and it is indeed a landmark work. But any kind of pioneering attempt will be recorded in history, but the initial attempt must also be superficial and loopy, so this film is not perfect.
