Inside Job - 8/10

The film brilliantly locates the fuse of the 2008 financial crisis, including the corruption of Wall Street, the decision-making mistakes of the Bush government, and the loopholes in the Greenspan system. But what is most thought-provoking is that the hypocrisy of Western democracy is vividly displayed when the film ends when the Obama government is confronted with the mess left by Bush. Come to think of it, the two parties in the United States are simply changing soups and not changing medicines. When real interests are involved, their policies are unexpectedly consistent. This is actually no different from a one-party dictatorship. . . Power and money are a few people's games, but after the game is over, only the common people have to pay.
