fellow soul

There is a surprise in this one, that is, Jane Eyre expresses her feelings more clearly than the three I have watched before.

When Rochester questioned her under the tree asking her to stay, she replied: Am I a machine without feelings? If God has blessed me with wealth and beauty, I could make it as hard for you to leave me. This sentence Really scared me. This was the first time she had expressed her admiration for Rochester, clearly, unambiguously, and directly.

And Jane Eyre opened the door and thought it was Rochester who came to her, but it was Mr. Rivers. Personally, I think this place is very good. The previous remakes did not have it, and it can also highlight Jane Eyre's extreme longing for Rochester.

And Rochester is long enough to be uncle, in line with the character setting and my aesthetic.

Helen Burns: Don't be sad. You have a passion for living, Jane. And one day you'll come to the region of bliss.
