Cronenberg's film is unique because of its unique tone, it always feels like the narrative is real, and behind that seriousness, he quietly plays half sci-fi, half suspense. Many passages of the film even look like a documentary, and you'd really think you're watching a "game" description. This should be attributed to its hand-made props, allowing people to stay away from the imagination of the computer age and get rid of this vortex that is as fake as computer technology. Movies need a special flavor, and a good movie is one that has flavor, style, and its own tone.
