If it's all a dream

I watched an old film "Life in Another World", which was a very depressing story.

There are a few scenes in it that really touched me.

The hero is sick and his girlfriend cools him down with ice water. When he woke up in a daze, he told his wife that it was very cold, and he would have to close the windows when he went to bed.

His wife hugged him. He said that he had just had a nightmare. He dreamed that someone became my girlfriend and lived together. It was terrible. What a nightmare.

The wife holds him tenderly and they flirt. At this time, the younger son appeared, and he clamored for the hero to help him cover the quilt. The male protagonist accompanies him back to bed, covers him with a quilt, and sings a sleep song to him. His eldest son also asked him not to forget to give him pocket money in the morning, and the second son also greeted him mischievously. He said good night to them and went back to his wife, holding her tightly.

He woke up and saw his anxious girlfriend. He asked, am I at home? His girlfriend said, of course you are at home.

It turned out that the warmth just now was just a dream. He was separated from his wife, and his youngest son passed away a long time ago. He started to cry.

There is also a scene where the hero was attacked and injured and went to the hospital. He couldn't tell whether it was a nightmare or reality. He saw a lot of bloody things. He saw his girlfriend and some doctors trying to drill something into his head. He was scared and helpless. He shouted, HELP ME, HELP ME...

He woke up and saw his wife and 2 sons. The wife stroked his face and said, dear, I still love you until now.

The eldest son and the second son looked at him with smiles. At this time, another voice in his mind told him viciously, this is a dream. He was in pain, he cried and said to his wife, help me, help me...

These scenes made me a little uncomfortable. I have thought more than once, if everything that happened now was just a dream, a nightmare, what would I do?
