Genius story

Shooting a biography of a musical genius is a tricky subject. The life of Ray Charles alone provides the most abundant material for the film, and it is only natural that his music is used as the soundtrack for the film. But this is also a subject that is particularly easy to mess up, also for these two reasons. His life was full of ups and downs, and it was difficult to choose details; there were too many excellent music, and the choice became a tangle.

The story has three main lines:

Life line:

At the age of six, he accidentally watched his younger brother drown in front of his eyes. Blind at the age of 7, his mother strictly demanded him and sent him to a school for the disabled, where he learned to read sheet music in Braille, compose music, and learned to play the piano. In 1948, he started to go to Seattle and started his musical journey. After this, there are two important nodes: one is his refusal to perform in apartheid, which proves his belief; the other is that after he vowed not to be exposed to drugs, he forced himself to quit drugs, which highlighted his willpower. These two, combined with talent, doom him not to be an opportunistic performer, but a true musician.

Music line:

When he first entered the music scene, Ray Charles has been imitating; from signing into the Atlantic, he was encouraged to try changes, find his own voice, and sing cocktail blues~ Since then, he has become popular. When he met his wife, he wrote "I Have a Woman", which combined blues and gospel music to create a new genre of music: soul music, for which he was dubbed America's "Spirit of Soul" Father"~ Since then, he has not stopped, experimenting with various styles and soundtracks. In his more than half-time music career, he has dabbled in blues, gospel, jazz, soul, pop, country, and even rock, although some may only try it once~~ But who dares to say he is not a genius?

Why isn't the grey line

called the emotional line? Because I think it's not just about his emotional experience, but also the dark side of him that is not clear enough as a normal person. To friends and wives, there are lies, betrayals, and hurts. He took drugs, he had two lovers, and even one of them gave birth to a child for him, and finally died because of him~~ These videos did not shy away~

It is these three main lines that develop in parallel but intertwined to form a three-dimensional and comprehensive Ray Charles. Objectively speaking, as a movie, "King of Soul Singer" is not good but it is not particularly outstanding, nor is it reviled by others, it tells a story that is neither salty nor light. The overall development of the main line is still clear, the depiction of several nodes is also meticulous and thoughtful, and the angle of storytelling is calm and objective. What really shines is Jamie Foxx, who plays Ray Charles, and the story itself. At first glance, I always felt that the expressions and actions were a bit exaggerated and contrived. Later I realized that because I was blind, my words and deeds were always more flamboyant than normal people. Maybe it's to tell the other party that although I didn't see it, I heard it, I felt it.

Because of the dazzling protagonist, everyone else is overshadowed. Of the women in the film, the one I remember best is Ray Charles' mother. Thin and strong, strong and rational, after the death of her youngest son, she held onto the small coffin and cried bitterly. Charles fell to the ground for the first time after he lost his sight, crying for his mother to help me~~ and she was crying silently, watching him learn to find the way with his hands and identify the location of crickets with his ears, these two games play, make her face clear. And Lei Charles's wife and lover~~ look similar~ Especially the two lovers, I don't seem to understand when the back waves push the front waves, it took a long time to wake up, it turned out to be the second one~~ ~

From watching the movie yesterday to today, I found out that Ray Charles' "True Love" has been listened to 8 times~ It's unbelievable, this was recorded when he was 73 years old, this disc includes the 47th 2005 Eight Ramy Awards. In his voice, he can hear the depth, mastery, and experience, but he is still energetic and has no old-fashioned attitude~~ I have always believed that there must be a large number of hard-working people in the master group of each industry. However, the real top players must add talent. Undoubtedly, Ray Charles is such a genius~~ "Soul Singer" is the story of a genius musician~

Attached: Baidu Encyclopedia is actually putting the photo of the actor Jamie Foxx in this film as the photo of Ray Charles on the front page of the entry ~~Hehe~~ It can be regarded as a great affirmation for the whole film~~
