The first half of the film is a bit draggy and cumbersome, with too many plots describing Kyle and his father, but it doesn't help the later plots, so the pace doesn't need to be so slow. On the contrary, the part that should be well described is a bit rushed: Kyle's process of falling in love with Lindy is too short, and she fell in love with Lindy just because of a few words with Lindy? Besides, with Kyle's character, he wouldn't be so attentive to a girl who wasn't his type so quickly. This is similar to Kyle's attitude towards tutors and babysitters, the transition is too fast.
The ending is a typical big reunion. For many years, the ending of the fairy tale "Cinderella and the prince is finally together" has always appeared in a different way.
