A newly released convict is employed by a reclusive actress, harassed from time to time by paparazzi swarming around her home, while his former mates seek him out for loan sharks. Although he has no interest in returning to his old business, he is also quite entangled with these two jobs in his heart. Gradually, he fell in love with the actress, and at the same time he offended the local gangster, and the two started a vendetta. The final outcome was not satisfactory.

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Irish novelist Ken Brunn. Brunn is a household name in the English-speaking world as a crime writer.

The film is full of British tunes, the live shooting in London, the actors' full-mouthed London accent, and the ending is full of British flavors - all the damned dead, not a single living mouth is left, quite dark humor. A relatively mediocre film, the overall feeling of deja vu, maybe British-style movies are like this.

Colin Farrell's English accent is the first time I've heard it; Keira Knightley doesn't feel as beautiful as before, I don't know if it's because I'm too thin this time.
