Be what you wanna be.

When I saw the title of the film written in my classmate's mood, I looked for it and read it, not bad. Always love movies based on real events.
At first, it was unclear who was the first male lead, Stanely or Andy? Later, I let it go. It was the growth history of a group of teenagers and the education of a teacher.
I have never met a teacher like Simon. I don't know what kind of teacher this should be put into China's national conditions to be called the greatest teacher on earth. Encourage friends to be tolerant, and more?

I believe that everyone who has seen it will be impressed by this line of words:
Human dignity+Compassion=PEACE
——25 words or less to achieve peace: By Mr. Simon

Actually, I think the whole play revolves around prejudice. Those who are discriminated against must have dignity, and bystanders must have compassion. If you torelent the discriminators again, the world will be at peace.

And more importantly, dignity, I wonder if it can be called confidence. Do not feel inferior, believe in your ability, and become the person you want to be.

Has always been inferior, like many people, ethereal and confused. What am I gonna be? Hard question. Then reassure yourself that not everyone can be what they want to be. To this day, I wonder if I ever had a so-called dream.

Stanely sang, Go ahead and dream.
What is my dream, what will I be, can I.

Can this film be regarded as an educational film, for parents and teachers, to teach them: how to keep children's self-esteem, how to believe in children, and how to make children believe in themselves - To be what he wanna be.

I also want to hold my head high and say , I am a teacher. That's what I am.

Here are a few lines:

Mr. Simon: If you enjoy something and you are good at it, then first you must define yourself as what you wanna be.

Andrew(Andy):I don't...

S:Repeat after me. I am a writer, that's what I am.

A:I am a writer, that's what I am?

S:Let's try that again. Stand up straight. Shoulders back. Deep breath . I am a writer, that's what I am.

A:I am a writer, that's what I am.

S:Exerllent. Now go, Andrew. And write.

Andy: You know, you were right about him. He(Stanely) is not like anyone else.
Norman: My mom said Stanely has something most people will never have. Stanely has dignity.

"Look at his face, look how happy he is."
"But ,oh, did he sing with passion, the joy freedom brings."

But sometimes , you just need someone to tell you that you can.

Andy Nichol is a wirter, that's what he is. (subscript)

That's What I Am quotes

  • Narrator: It took maybe thirty seconds for word of Mary Clear and my impending union to cover the school grounds like a suffocating fog. If only our fire drills were that organized. Heck, even the Blue Angels don't fly with that kind of precision any more.

  • Principal Kelner: Please Steven, just deny it, for the children's sake. I don't care if it's true or not. Please just deny it.

Mr. Simon: It's for the sake of the children that I won't deny it, true or not.
