After watching "The Hound"

, there is no need to whitewash the real events. It is still so touching and so cruel. If you can dress up and modify it, you will lose a bit of sincerity.
That feeling became clearer when I watched The Hound. The filming skills of this film may be somewhat immature, but the events and feelings expressed are real. The film records the bloody incident of the Hutu massacres of Tutsi during the civil unrest in Rwanda in 1994. The reason for this is this. Rwanda was once a colony of Germany, France, and Belgium. When the Belgian colonists ruled, they used despicable means of suppressing and supporting a family, which deepened the contradiction between the Tutsi and Hutu. There have been several clashes with heavy casualties. On April 6, 1994, the plane of President Habyarimana was shot down, and the organized killings began, killing more than one million Tutsi within three months!
After the killing began, some Tutsi people panicked and came to the United Nations Technical School to seek shelter. The priest at the school, Christopher, insisted that the iron gate of the school be opened, and the leader of the peacekeeping force reluctantly ordered it to be opened. If it were not for the priest, the peacekeepers would not have planned to grant asylum to Rwandan refugees. It's just a door apart, the difference is that there is a "life" with a glimmer of hope inside, while death is outside the door! How shocking! Inside the door, there is no food, medicine or sense of security, it is a vague life. Outside the door is the clamor of Hutu people with machetes, mosquitoes and flies attracted by the smell of corpses everywhere. Tragedy happens all the time, but the humanitarian assistance of the United Nations is still a long way off. The West, which has always regarded itself as peaceful, democratic and humane, was silent. When the trapped Tutsi saw the French peacekeeping force with hope, thinking that God's assistance had arrived, they fought to survive and were beaten down. Only to find that the French car was picking up white people, white people living and working, and white pets. Joe also followed. Did he not keep his promise? Maybe it's a survival instinct. Like the United Nations, can we still demand an individual?
Father Christopher stayed firmly, took a few children and drove out of the school in a broken car. When encountering a checkpoint, the old priest delayed the time to let the children escape, and the priest left with a smile. As long as the peacekeepers stay in the elementary school for one more day, the thousands of refugees in the school can temporarily save their lives, perhaps with the help of the United Nations to reach some kind of peace agreement? The worst thing is that this peacekeeping force of only a dozen people finally received an order to withdraw. Before they left, until the doomed refugees even wrote a joint letter asking the peacekeepers to shoot them with guns, so that they would suffer less crime than being hacked to death. Knowing that the place was full of blood after they left, the peacekeepers could only walk away with sophisticated equipment. Sure enough, after they left, the Hutu people rushed into the school, and they didn't spare a single old, young, woman and child. Why aid Rwandans? Internationally, they are third world countries. They have no influence and will not bring any benefits. You can kill yourself.
Those who escaped survived many years later, and the truth will come out one day, even if some people don't want to. When reporters asked about the massacre, United Nations officials were evasive, playing with the set of words. Yet you see or don't see, the truth is there, you admit it or don't admit the truth is there.
Recalling those cruel scenes and bloody facts, I believe that everyone has a knot in their hearts. We should not avoid these, and we should not always hold on to the parties. After all, the matter has passed, the important thing is It's how we can prevent such tragedies from happening again. It reminds us all the time that ethnic issues should be handled properly and fairly. When the grievance reaches a certain level, the tragedy is likely to be staged again. Look at the wet bloodstains, listen to the innocent screams, and maybe make a wiser decision. That's a lesson learned!
If the country is not strong and the nation is unhappy, it will be marginalized by the international community. Even if the country suffers, the lives of the people are not as good as the pets of the white people. Only when the country is strong can the people be protected. When the people are strong, the country can be better promoted. Not only is economic prosperity.

Shooting Dogs quotes

  • Christopher: I'll see to that after Mass.

    Joe Connor: Mass?

Christopher: I'm a priest in a Catholic country, Joe. This is what I do.

Joe Connor: Yeah, sure. But do you think it is the best time for that?

Christopher: In times of stress, people need to commune with God.

Joe Connor: I think maybe they'd prefer some food, water, a spot of reassurance.

Christopher: Well, come to Mass-get all three on the same ticket.

  • Marie: Does God love everyone? Does he even love those men on the road outside?

Christopher: God doesn't always like everything we do. That's our choice. But he loves all his children.
