With the division of the former Soviet Union, the Russian film industry, which inherited most of the blood of the former Soviet Union, has developed more widely over the years, and the films it has produced have become more and more diversified. And I often have the opportunity to see Russian movies on the domestic big screen. For example, I saw a commercial sci-fi movie "Black Lightning" last year, which left a deep impression on me. Based on this premise, I don't know whether Russia can still make good-looking movies that reflect World War II. I have some doubts.
On May 26, the opening ceremony of the 2011 Russian Film Festival was held in Beijing. This film exhibition brought a total of seven different types of films, of which the premiere film at the opening ceremony was a war film "Brest Fortress" reflecting the theme of World War II.
From the perspective of a young soldier, the film truly reproduces the beginning of World War II. At the Brest Fortress at the junction of the former Soviet Union and Poland, Germany started the first battle to attack the Soviet Union. Although it was a hasty challenge without any preparations, the Soviet defenders burst out with powerful energy, and stubbornly resisted for a month without the advantage of weapons, ammunition and military supplies, and finally the entire army was wiped out. Four of the defending generals, the political commissar was captured by the Germans and shot to death, the colonel was captured, the major fought until the last moment until he died, and the fat captain also died in the battle.
The realism brought to me by the film is beyond imagination, the shock of the war scenes, the tragic results of the war, and the interpretation of human nature in the war. It is definitely a rare war film worth commending in recent years.
One of the leading actors in the film also participated in the opening ceremony as a member of the Russian delegation. At the same time, there are two promotional ambassadors for this event: famous actors Yuan Li and Wang Qianyuan.
