I searched for the keyword New York on Popularity and picked this movie. At first, I didn’t know it was a short story collection, and I didn’t know there were so many directors. I just wondered why there were so many actors. There are 100 of them, some of them, well, at least 3 or 40 of them. You can think of a familiar movie. The first story, in the bar, the Skywalker Xiaoshuaiguo in Star Wars said a lyric, the sun! Isn't this Cui Jian's flower house girl, and then the old Shuaiguo in The Godfather 3 appeared and taught Xiaoshuaiguo a lesson. The stealing section of Shenlong, which was obtained from Gulong Zhenzhuan, must be filmed by a Chinese! Sure enough, when the subtitles started, I saw Uncle Jiang Wen. Then I watched the next 11 stories dazedly. Some of the faces are known to everyone on earth, some are known only to those who watch movies frequently, and some are known only to those who often watch movies and have amazing memory and search ability. I met Shu Qi in the second half.
There are so many stories about New York that you would imagine the stories in Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles as New York, as if America was New York and New York was America. Close your eyes and you'll see Batman speeding across the Brooklyn Bridge in a tank, 4 old women from Sex and the City rap in a Manhattan restaurant, and the uncle of csi season 1 at the back door of a bar in Queens Audrey Hepburn is eating breakfast in front of the floor-to-ceiling window of Tiffany's on Fifth Avenue, King Kong is jerking off for his beloved woman on the roof of the Empire State Building... Maybe only New York is the real city, just It's like the last habitation of human beings who have suffered catastrophe in a sci-fi world.

New York, I Love You quotes

  • Camille: Hey, David, it's Camille. You know, when Dostoevsky was writing The Gambler, he signed a contract with his publisher saying that he would finish it in twenty-six days, and he did it, but he had the help of this young stenographer. This girl, she... she stayed with him and she helped him. And... afterwards they actually got married. Ha, isn't that cool? That's how he met his wife. Anyway I found this story in the preface for Crime and Punishment so I was thinking that... and, this would have to be between you and me, but... I was thinking that I could read the books and tell you what's going on and that way you could just focus on your music. But only if you're comfortable with this, and if you're not then you can just forget it, and you can quit, but if you are... then open this door.

    David: Open... this door?

[crawls to his front door and opens it]

    Camille: Okay, a deal's a deal.

David: Does this mean we're getting married?

Camille: I have a lot of reading to do...

    Camille: Hi, I'm Camille.

    David: Hi, I'm David.

  • Writer: [after lighting her cigarette] We share a flame, thousands of tiny molecules are heating up right now, they're penetrating our brain. Alright, they're stimulating our sexual desire. I mean, I don't know about you, but I find that shit very romantic. And you know, I'm so glad you walked over here because now I can feel a little bit more comfortable to tell you that I happen to be on the forefront of men able to find and locate a woman's G-spot, and I could - I could do that for you.

Call Girl: [Sarcastically] That's really generous of you, thank you.

Writer: Well, it's my pleasure. Well. It's your pleasure.

Call Girl: And what makes you think I haven't located it yet?

Writer: Uh, the way you hold the cigarette. It's a little high and tight. Y'know what you have to do, is you have to lower it. You have to bring it all the way down, in there, so it just sits. Comfortably. Y'know if it's high and tight like that, the whole body gets restricted and the... plexus? Gets closed off. Y'know and the vagina gets locked.
