Can death be liberated?

In Buddhism, there is no end, but there is a theory of the reincarnation of life, which cannot be obtained through death, and requires meditation. Christ has eternity and needs to believe in God, but suicide will not work.
All of these are supporting the meaning of the continuation of life. If you are looking for these, then you must achieve it through faith. But if you are looking for the problems of nothingness and death, like what Hei is looking for in the film, these are things outside of life, which cannot be solved by religion and belief. Neither religion nor belief supports nothingness and death.
But the ultimate state of Buddhism is to jump out, life, death, nothingness, meaning, that is, the ultimate nothingness. beyond these binary oppositions. That is, there is no life, no death. There is no nothingness, where is the meaning. Buddhism eventually jumps out of these and goes above them.
Life itself is meaningless. Who knows outside of life, and what is the ultimate non-existence?

The Sunset Limited quotes

  • White: Your god must once have stood at a dawn of infinite possibilities, and this is what he's made of it. You tell me that I want God's love? I don't. Perhaps I want forgiveness, but there's no-one to ask it of. And there's no going back, there's no setting things right, there's only the hope of nothingness.

  • Black: Belief 'aint like unbelief. If you're a believer and you finally got to come to the well of belief itself , then you 'aint got to look no further. There 'aint no further. But the unbelievers got a problem. He's set out to unravel the world. For everything he can point to that 'aint true, he leaves two false things laying there.
