At the beginning of this movie, Goran and Sven comes to a community to start their new life. What is the happiness they want most is to adopt a child, especially Goran. However, when filling the applicant, the punctuation is dropped in wrong place, as a result of which the 1.5 year-old kid becomes a 15 years old treasonous boy who has criminal records and serious discrimination and abomination towards gay.
In this movie, the description of Sven is apparently weaker than Goran and Patrik. He is too cowardly to make a family. As the story shows, Sven has had a family before, including his wife and a daughter. His former wife is a beautiful woman who stands to sense completely, taking care of their 18 year-old girl and making good friendship with Goran. But as for Sven, he is used to beer and skittles. He thinks that family ties have kept him from free lifestyle. Because of the "wrong" Patrik, he quarrels with Goran and leaves home, being together with someone else in his office. But at the end of the movie, Sven chooses Goran again, comes back to the cosy house and accepts Patrik.
Why does Sven hate Patrik seriously in the most part of the movie is because that Patrik is a bad boy and threatens to kill Sven. There is no doubt that no one likes Patrik except Goran. But as time flies, Patrik becomes a good boy and popular among the community. He helps the neighbours with gardens, teaches children play with skateboards and does morning exercises with Goran. When he puts on the sport suit Goran has prepared for him, I feel the fire of family emotions burns out. It is difficult for Patrik, because no one cares him, even his mother and relatives. It is also difficult for Goran, because he breaks up with Sven for the "wrong" Patrik, even though he is not sure whether he would get the "right" Patrik in the future.
Definitely, Goran is a gentle man the most moving character in this movie. He is friendly to everyone. He shows his love to Patrik, helping him know and enjoy the world again. He is free-hearted. Every time people misunderstands him with the discrimination of gay, he is always smiling and decent. He is kind to the neighbours and pious to his jobs as a doctor of the community. At last, he wins people's respect and love. He makes me moved. All the affecting scenes appearing in this movie are related to him, including the scene when Goran receives the permitting letter of Patrik, he is so happy as to weep, the scene when Sven runs back from the car and says he loves "pizza" still, Goran is so happy to weep, and the scene when Patrik stands outside smiling to Goran at the end of the movie, Goran smiles to give his embrace in return.
Goran is my favourite character in the movie. In spite of his precious qualities and personalities, his persistence toward love makes Sven change his mind, his loving-kindness toward Patrik makes him become a real father. Because of him, the family turns out to be a genuine one along with two fathers, a child, a small homey house and a lovely garden.
The aim of this movie is just to tell us a story about love. It is not a story with quirky twist. It has no broad scenes and lively vows. It only has deep affection and light life. Acting in concert with the words, facial expressions, motions and sights of the characters, the movie shows a story related to searching for home and love. It seems that Sven needs personal space; he doesn't needs home. It also seems that Patrik only needs himself; he doesn't Because needs home. But in the fact, everyone needs home. All the contradictions are resolved by the simplehearted kindness and love. Love falls in no bounds. It is a kind of rummy magic. Of love, people meet, people talk, people get together. On the contrary, still because of love, people argue, people lie, people separate. It is nothing more than distance, nationality, age, gender and consanguinity. People love because of love. They want to love and to be loved by the people they care. They want to share every piece of life to record their lives. They want to talk, play and love in the real world. Hetero has the right; queer has the right too.
