Ruin is a gift

There was a poor ghost who prayed to God every day: "Dear Lord, please let me win a lottery jackpot!" Finally, one day, God couldn't help it and appeared before him. God begged the poor man. Ghost: "Child, I beg you to buy a lottery!" This joke (also called a fable) has been heard by many people, including me of course. But after listening to it, apart from laughing, how many people really understand the meaning of this joke? Many times, like this poor ghost, I prayed to God devoutly, read many articles to find my inner balance, and would tell others at length that I knew my own path, and that I wanted to have a life that is my own master... But when cruelty The reality is in front of me, I choose to escape more often. Escape in some literary works, escape in the beautiful life of movie characters, escape in travel...
Actually, I want to write a movie review about the movie Eat Pray Love, but it seems that after watching the movie, the inner ups and downs are too intense , I had to start my review in this way.
I bought the book before the movie started shooting. What attracted me to this book at the time was its unique name, which was very cleverly translated by the Taiwanese - "Fan Pray Love", which succinctly conveys the theme of the book while creating a gimmick. Here I have to talk about the translation from the mainland - "Being a Girl All Your Life". I really don't know which publisher's editor actually agreed to publish this book under such a name. Such a poor translation will really bury a rare good book. Moreover, how can there be any message in the book that the heroine wants to be a girl all her life? Besides, the protagonist is a divorced woman, where did the girl come from?
Eat Pray Love, as you can tell from the name, is a film about food, prayer and love. After the heroine has everything she dreams of - a high-end apartment in New York, a successful career, and a husband who loves her, she suddenly finds that she is not looking for these. She made a painful decision, chose a divorce, and gave up everything she had. But the subsequent failed relationship with the off-Broadway actor (who is also a yogi) left her out of balance in her life and even her mind. She chose to leave New York for a year, taking all her savings to find her lost balance. In Italy, she gained friendship and regained her passion for food; in India, she learned to calm her mind through meditation, forgive herself, and learn to pray; and finally met true love in Bali.
The filming of the film spanned four countries - the United States, Italy, India, and Indonesia. As a person with a strong interest in different cultures, it was a great pleasure to watch this film. Different scenery is matched with different music, coupled with the subtle changes in the protagonist's heart, giving people a strong collision of vision and soul.
Italian cuisine is famous all over the world, and Rome is the city-state of an ancient empire. The combination of food and ancient city must have a wonderful charm. The monarchs in those old castles were famous for a while, how could they have thought that the current occupants of their castles were just some homeless wanderers? How could they have thought that the castle is now just a ruin - a lonely place where it lies silently telling the world the changes of history. The heroine Liz looked at the mottled city wall, thought of its history of being destroyed and rebuilt, and thought of her feelings in a predicament. On the same day, she gave her boyfriend a calm Dear John letter, she said: "Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation." She understood that they were just used to each other, afraid that the life she had been accustomed to would be destroyed by the breakup, They would rather face pain in the face of each other who no longer love each other. However, the destruction of the present can bring an opportunity to rediscover yourself and choose to live in a new way. The question is, are we at all like the poor man who knows only prayer and imagination and never takes action to change ourselves?
Once in India, the quiet music of Italy transformed into Bollywood dance music. On the road from the airport to the residence, you will see children picking up garbage by the garbage dump, people washing cattle, a group of children outside the taxi window asking for money, transformers and scattered wires directly above their heads. The scene suddenly transitioned from a developed country to a third world country. Such a gap can't help but make people expect interesting things to happen. For many Westerners, yoga meditation in India has an irresistible charm to them. Frustrated, remorseful, and restless, they ran to this country one after another, learning how to keep their hearts from being disturbed by the outside world in the meditation room where the temperature was so high that only fans and flies fluttered about.
For India, I am also very longing for it. One of the reasons is to visit Bangalore, which is India's "Silicon Valley", where there is a developed software industry and service outsourcing industry, the second is because of yoga, and the third is because I like the way Indians pronounce English. Almost all films about India made by foreigners, such as "The World is Flat" and "Slumdog Millionaire", show the backward side of this society without any concealment, and this film is no exception. In addition to the spectacular third-world scenes just mentioned just out of the airport, there is also a 17-year-old Indian girl married in the film. Before marriage, her knowledge of her future husband was limited to one photo. The marriage was entirely arranged by the two parents—the man's family had enough financial resources to pay the bride price to marry the girl. On the wedding day, everything went so smoothly. During dance time, the bride and groom danced among a group of happy people, but what Liz saw in her eyes was not happiness, but anxiety and fear for the future. Liz thought of her wedding, and her mood suddenly became complicated, she escaped from the lively crowd, and she needed to calm herself. The bride ran after her and she asked Liz if she would be happy. Liz told her that she must believe in the future and her husband, and she will be happy. The bride smiled, but I knew that Liz still didn't forgive herself. Although she could pray to bring peace to her heart, there was still a missing piece in her heart.
Coming to Bali, Liz went to visit the magical witch doctor again. It was this old man who predicted that Liz would go through two marriages - one short term and one long term, predicting that she would come back to Bali to find him. Now that the second prediction has come true, whether Liz will find true love in Bali has become a question in the hearts of the audience. Bali is such a romantic place - sunshine, coconut groves, beaches, beauties, handsome guys... how can nothing romantic happen?
The hero and heroine met in a car accident, followed by a collision of souls, escaped relationships, and regained their trust in love, and the lovers finally got married. It all seems like a dream, but isn't it achieved through hard work? She worked hard to Smile with her liver, to accept the reality of herself, and to believe. "Sometimes to lose balance for love is part of living balanced life", this is what the witch doctor told Liz, because she was afraid of losing the balance of life again for love, but losing balance for love is part of living balanced life, she suddenly I understood, so I went to the beach and waited for him. When they met, he looked at her and said a very simple but tearful sentence: "Let's cross over."
Julia Roberts' superb acting really impressed me, although it can be seen in the film To her obvious forehead lines, starting line and dark circles - after all, time is not forgiving, but her aura and charm are getting stronger and stronger. I can't help but feel that she is the protagonist herself - a world traveler, a writer with a successful career, and a woman with a strong heart. Of course, she is more beautiful than the author herself.
Ask yourself, what are you looking for? Do you dare to abandon everything you have now to pursue the life you want, even if you know that life will not be colorful because you have colorful dreams? Do you dare to believe something you don't want to believe, then face it and go on with the life you want?
The answer is blowing in the wind, God said: "My Kid,please please please take action."
