Daniel Day-Lewis and Brenda Frick are superb acting.

I like Krissky's paintings very much in the film, and it happens that I have recently turned to studying Western painting art in my spare time.

Because of "My Left Foot", I know Daniel Day-Lewis;

because of Daniel Day-Lewis, I know "The Age of Innocence"

; Song", and "The Return of Spring" by Bouguereau. Then changed the wallpaper to Botticelli's The Birth of Venus.

I haven't watched old movies like "Pride and Prejudice", "Little Women", "Monte Cristo" for many years. In fact, those gentlemen and ladies, those swords, conspiracies, waltzes, those black and white love, in this The impetuous era of the rush is still worth looking for and reminiscing about. From this perspective, the name of "The Age of Innocence" is very appropriate.

How could an ordinary and poor family of Irish construction workers make such a dazzling radiance to a mother? If it is said that the greatness of a mother does not require a reason, then where does the upbringing, decency, self-respect, and perseverance she shows come from? Christian culture?

There are many brothers and sisters, such a big family. Although they are poor, they are very warm. People who have brothers and sisters may feel that the only child and daughter are very pitiful, right?

The film narrates the male protagonist's emotional/love experience in three stages, from Rachel in his youth, to Gao Ailian in his youth, to middle/young? Mary at the time (also the one with the least ink), but I personally don't feel too impressed, in this regard.

The film that attracts me the most is the actor's acting skills on the one hand, and the subtle but meticulous expression of the love between mother and son, father and son, brotherhood and so on. The portraits of important characters in the novel are used as clues, and the storyline is laid out in a way similar to flashbacks. Personally, I feel that the ending is a bit rushed and a bit anticlimactic. However, although the film is titled "My Left Foot", it looks like the biography of a disabled hero. In fact, it interprets the growth and success of the protagonist from the perspective of the surrounding people, rather than a one-sided description of the "left foot". ——That is, the protagonist's personal struggle experience, which makes the film full of warm human touch.

The time is too hasty, and it is basically impossible to have a good time, so I have to talk about it. Reality huh...
