It's not an action movie, and while there's action, gunfights, and intrigue, it's a drama at the end of the day. It's George Clooney alone.
In this film, George Clooney is no longer a playboy with a cynical smile on his lips, but an introverted, cautious twilight killer who lives in danger every day. Finally, when he inadvertently fell into the emotional whirlpool, quitting Jianghu became his only choice. But rivers and lakes are rivers and lakes, and even a seasoned killer cannot control his own destiny.
A lot of people didn't like the film, thinking it was too dull and slow-paced. Probably these people thought this was a shootout movie from the beginning, and naturally they were disappointed.
In fact, I think Clooney's acting skills are very good in this film. The expressions and body movements are very detailed.
