There are good things, like the right details (like moths on the headlights), some proper use of the lens (like some headlights).
The downside is that the word "extreme speed" is not better expressed, and the addition of emotion and emotion dilutes the overall tension as an expected B-level film. This may be related to Johnson's desire to have a more "deep" performance in the role.
