she did not regret her short life, even if she made mistakes of this kind, even if some mistakes could not have been made, she had a brilliance, focus; Most importantly, she had the only woman she had ever loved.
It seems to me that everything is for her.
The first time she did her makeup, she opened a drink can for her with her own knife. She's willing to try bold shots, as long as she can stay. It's more to show her most true self in front of her. Barbed wire does not block gender, nor does it block desire. The first night terrified her, but she felt she had found true love.
She called, but she didn't answer; so, she sent her flowers; she went to her and met her boyfriend, just to tell her that she was the most beautiful woman she had ever seen.
The swarming attention, feasting and feasting brings emptiness and loneliness in the dark night. Her mother left when she needed it most, and she became dependent on drugs. The neon flickering hit the car window, and only her lonely eyes fell in the camera.
In the dark, only behind the lights, did she take off her fancy clothes and let her vent out by herself. No one was thinking of her, no one was by her side.
She still couldn't help looking for her and found that she had left her boyfriend. The two finally spoke frankly for the first time, and she obediently attended the drug rehabilitation course. However, the good life that had just begun was shattered by a misunderstanding, and she returned to drugs.
Gia is a super insecure person after all. Lights, drugs can temporarily paralyze oneself. Then she was always looking for a brief dose of paralysis and security, hiding behind the world.
She actually needs her, and what she can't do without is her own insecurities. She would rather hide in that dark box. The brighter the lights on the stage, the darker her inner world.
She went to her for the last time and left her the purest version of herself; she wanted to start over, but she felt that everything was irreversible.
"We use them up, then throw them away"
In other people's eyesight, she is a dose of medicine, and when it is used up, it is thrown away.
But she took herself as that medicine.
It's the best movie I've ever seen with Angie, and most of the characters after that are the same. This work is based on real events, and Gia Marie Carangi has a full and rich personality. Angie's true character plays well enough. After seeing the photo of Gia himself after the film, I immediately understood the ups and downs of this person's life, and it was clearly written on his face.
