Humanity's Guidance

Conviction is a Swann film. Glancing at the poster from a distance, I knew that I was going to watch this movie. I look forward to her performance.

Frankly speaking, the shooting and subject matter of this film are no longer new, but you always know that such a film can move the audience - because of the guidance of human nature. The narration of the film is tepid and more than bland, but in just 107 minutes, I fell in love with Hilary Swan, a real actor.

Murder happens, murderer is convicted - because police charge witness statements, and evidence of blood type kissing. However, the sister of the "murderer", who believed that his brother was innocent, wept with tears - not enough. She wants to make herself a lawyer, so that she has the qualifications and ability to prove that her brother is innocent.

Such a long process is 16 years. The process is as hard as you can imagine. Can't say high tide, it's the biggest motivator in the flat days - once it's destroyed, we don't know what's going to happen.

Then you can see the twists and turns in this unexpectedly: the evidence is destroyed after ten years, the witnesses dare not return the confession, and the prosecutor does not want to have such a heavy unjust, false and wrongful conviction. Human nature and truth. However, an innocent life is in prison. For all this, he paid 16 years of spring and autumn. From the moment he was ignited by his sister's desire to live, he was careful, put away his arrogance, and carried his sister's courage to live a bold and old-fashioned life in prison.

Think of Hillary's other film "Million Baby" that made her come home with honor, the boxer. In fact, sister Betty's behavior is like a boxer's fight: hit the punching bag with her hand, and the punching bag will bounce back. Betty will fight back against the riddled human nature with the truth.

The reason why the movie moves people is not in a certain character, a certain line, a certain scene, but in the communication and convergence of all sound, light, painting and electricity. Betty, under enormous pressure that the evidence might be destroyed, simply told the children - it was a setback. As soon as she turned around, she did not fall into her own abyss - this great woman, she chose to persevere. Even if the children thought she had run out of time on this matter, she had a momentary response that it was okay, she had no time to sigh and regret, and challenged all the visible and invisible with almost decisive courage.

The male lead's performance was a surprise, and it made up for the bland narrative. Amazing pure performance - what moved me was the scene when she was released from prison to meet her daughter, she was with her daughter, and when she saw her sister, the happy and shy look - her head was turned inward, and there was a hint of stubbornness. But his eyes are still grim, and the background of suffering is unknowable and cannot be erased.

This is still a tribute to human nature and freedom, and it is not too over-interpreted and exaggerated. This is not a rambunctious film, the plot is simple and pure, so moving. It's hard to imagine that Swan is already a two-time Oscar winner. Her appearance is like a hard-line version of Roberts, and her smile is still moving.

It presents a gigantic reality, seeing vagueness and throbbing in the waves. Passive Activist - Life is inherently contradictory. Just like life, you already know the end, you still go on.
