and watched Geri's Game, I felt a little bit wanting to laugh, but more of a feeling of loneliness and desolation. What the old man devoted himself to was a one-man game of chess. He played his opponent with all his heart and blood. In the end, the old man smiled with satisfaction, facing an empty seat.
But on second thought, maybe not so tragic. After all, the old man was the one who kept a smile. Pixar didn't leave the old man with a lonely face that turned around in an instant. At least the old man enjoyed it, at least his own happiness, which was also good.
