Kathy's mother made me hear the concept of "shelf life" for the first time. Indeed, the Ice Princess may be more dazzling than Harvard's bachelor, but what about ten or twenty years from now? Not every athlete can perform miracles and stay forever. When you look at the children who came to the skating rink with the same dreams and passions as you did, maybe you will signal an encouraging smile, and then sigh in your heart, saying it's silly.
