The tragedy of "Little Soldier"

After watching "Little Soldier" for a while, I have to say that this movie gave me some surprises, so I want to write about my feelings today.
In today's flood of bad domestic films, "Little Soldier" can indeed give people a lot of shock. Of course, in the recent domestic films, there are still many bright spots. Some have good scripts, some have great ideas and creativity, some have skilled directors, and some actors are brilliant. These elements are enough to make a classic movie, but unfortunately none of these previous movies can focus on all these highlights, so most people are very disappointed with domestic movies, even when movies like "Avatar" come in When I was there, people's amazement, praise and inferiority were indescribable and embarrassing. I dare not say that "Little Soldier" is perfect, but I dare to say that it is the best domestic commercial film in the past two years. Many of the previous movies may have been well-publicized or star-studded, and most of all gave the audience a lot of expectations, but often the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment. As a result, people's expectations for domestic movies have grown. smaller. To be honest, before I watched "Little Soldier", I was thinking that I would definitely feel "but that's it" after watching it. But after watching it, I was really "disappointed". Although Jackie Chan is old and Leehom Wang is a little jerky, their performances are still quite satisfactory; it can be seen that the story is also carefully thought out, the director has a lot of ideas, and some things are handled well. According to the elements of the classic movies I mentioned above, each of its items is not full marks, but each item is quite satisfactory, so the organic combination of these elements in the film has made a wonderful film.
What I wrote before were all my superficial thoughts on this movie, maybe many people will not agree with it, and everyone may think that I don’t know what I mean, that my writing is wrong, that I am using a vulgar title to attract attention ...but it doesn't matter, because what I want to focus on today is still left behind, which is mentioned in the title. I said that "Little Soldier" should be a tragedy, not that I think this film is a failure, and such a theme is boring. I have already commented on this film above, so I won't repeat it. The tragedy I'm referring to is the scene at the end of the film where Jackie Chan is shot to death by Qin soldiers. The protagonist of a movie died, and many other characters did not get a good death. Such a movie should be a tragedy. Of course, it is different from other tragedies such as romance films, which can make people sob and choke. Such tragedies are very righteous and awe-inspiring, making people who worship heroism excited, and people with delicate feelings. lost. However, in my opinion, such a tragedy is a matter of course, and I do not agree that the fate of other characters is perfect, but I insist that the end of the character played by Jackie Chan is tragic and perfect. I have seen many tragic movies in which the protagonist died before, and I also regret their final fate, and sometimes even strongly disagree with the director's arrangement. But after watching "Little Soldier", I didn't feel a little lost. The strange thing is that I am still very pleased with the final destination of Jackie Chan's character. At the same time, I am also thinking, if this character does not die, what kind of fate will he have, returning to his hometown with nothing? Going to the Prince of Wei to enjoy the glory? None of these arrangements are clearly perfect for such a role. When he returned to his hometown, his fate had not changed in any way. Maybe he had to repeat the past. This ending was too bland. If he defected to Wei, he would not consider whether Prince Wei could accommodate him. Even if he could get rich and honor, such an ending would be shameful. , by no means perfect. None of these endings can resonate with people. Although the protagonist survived seems beautiful, the protagonist who survived like that is still a small person. The characters have not been sublimated, and the previous plot development is completely futile. Therefore, the death of Jackie Chan's character is a matter of course and righteousness.
The ending of a good movie always leaves a lasting impression, and for the first time, Little Soldier made me feel good about a tragic ending, so it left a lasting impression on me. This is an excellent movie.
