In 1996, there were two blockbusters in Hollywood, one was the Independence Day Classic Index, needless to say, and the other was the popular blockbuster directed by Michael Bay, who was in his early 30s. It's a classic, and it's a work that never tires of watching. But it is really not easy for Tsui Hark to shoot such works as Black Man this year.
The Darkness Index is close to Batman. Although there are loopholes in the plot design, the imagination is unrestrained, and Tsui Hark's talent is unrestrained in this film. Coupled with the prosperous Jet Li, the grass-headed actor Liu Qingyun, and the fledgling Karen Mok, the film is brilliantly interpreted.
This film seems timeless now, the only regret is that the special effects at the time were terrible. Of course, this can not be compared with Hollywood blockbusters!
This film has a black style, and adds elements of science fiction, coupled with Jet Li's unrestrained and neat punches. In my opinion, this is the best hard sci-fi action movie in China so far!
