The movie is not bad in general, but Old Monster Xu is too obsessed with computer stunts, which caused the two scenes of Ghost City and Wujiguan to be quite protracted. Leung Ka Fai is also too dramatic. As soon as he appeared, he had a spoiler expression of "It's what I did, come and catch me." So basically, my expectation for the whole movie is to watch Carina Lau keep changing her looks. I think she is quite beautiful in this movie, but today I found out that I always thought she was not good-looking because she was too imperial, and even her three white eyes now seem to have a sense of majesty. She is more suitable for acting Wu Zetian than Liu Xiaoqing and Grandma Liu. BTW I think the most outrageous Wu Zetian I've ever seen is Pan Yingzi's version.
As for Di Renjie played by Lao Liu, when he was sitting in front of Wu Zhao with Erlang's legs crossed, I think Tsui Hark could make him a super-sensual detective in ancient Chinese costumes. Be a little more frivolous, uncle! It's all trendy now.
