Ironic tragedy

A darkly humorous film, in fact, a tragedy. Only small people will do this, or they are dissatisfied with reality, or they are tempted by extreme remarks, they are actually victims. It is mentioned in the film that many British people have a sense of exclusion, or at least not closeness to Muslims, which should be true. . .
Just some interesting details.

British humor should be dry humor, which is colder humor that doesn't make people laugh immediately after seeing or hearing it. The effect it wants to pursue is to make people laugh, helpless, and black humor.

When they negotiated to blow up Boots, Omar said he didn't want to be blown up on a pile of cotton balls, but ended up at Drugs & Beauty. . .

The plot that made me laugh out loud is that, in order not to be "counter-surveilled", Wye and Mali kept shaking their heads when they went out, saying that the pictures they were photographed were blurry. The heads of the two people are like a rattle, and they exercise the cervical spine very much. . .

I am an absolute atheist and have no disrespect for religion, just want to say that their worship of God has been transformed. So when you do things, you always follow your heart, not your brain. Exaggeratedly, when Wye said his heart told him "it's wrong, dont do it", Omar told him that his head and heart had switched places. He started to follow his brain because that was what Allah had instructed.

The two SWAT officers were sniping at the commanding heights, and the two were arguing on the podium, which made people want to laugh but couldn't laugh, so they could only shout SB seriously. In the end is it a bear, or a snowman, or some kind of monster, or some kind of mess. . . The poor innocent victims were so ignorantly made scapegoats.
In the kebab shop, the police wanted to subdue Wai the ostrich. After breaking in, they shot and the waiter of the kebab shop fell to the ground. What a pity.
And then at the end of the film, a spokesman or something, seriously said "The police shot the right man... the wrong man exploded." And added is that clear... look at that sarcastic Face, I want to go up and smoke. . Is it time to think about human rights in Great Britain? .

Omar and Wai found the plane at the training camp and wanted to blast it down with a rocket launcher, but the result might have been improper operation or something. As a matter of fact, at the end of the film, a very American accent voice, in conjunction with the aerial footage, said that the two SBs opened fire on the training camp and accidentally killed bin Laden. . . . Americans love to pump their own mouths like this.

At the kebab shop, when the police officer was negotiating with Wye, the conversation between orange and O2 was really annoying. The next scene was that Omar ran into the phone 4u, and then the conversation with the clerk was even more frustrating. . . SB British people have always been so inefficient and low IQ, they are burning their eyebrows, what contacts, call plan, 1800 free text, bla bla bla... Dealing with British people can usually make people collapse for a long time. . I don't know if I haven't experienced it, but what I've experienced must be the helplessness of smiling.

When I watched it for the first time, I found it quite boring, after all, it was not my favorite subject, but after watching it, I re-watched many episodes again. Some preference is because I found a lot of British flavors and experienced the helplessness of British humor. I also feel the boldness of the subject matter and the novelty of the technique.

Most of the pictures in the film are in the style of 'dogma 95', swaying over and over, but because there are scenes of indoor explosions and some distant scenes, the audio and video cannot be synchronized, and the effect of on-site shooting cannot be achieved. Not strictly a dogma 95 video, but very real and very documentary.

The film satirizes many aspects, but in the end, it is the tragedy of the little people that stands out. At the end of their lives, they wear cartoon clothes and run awkwardly on the streets of England, which is very funny, but they are finally dying. Ridiculous.

Four Lions quotes

  • Barry: [shouting as he sticks his head through from the boot of the car] Alright Omar! I'm letting you go to Pakistan! My unit, stays here! But my unit's the main unit!

Omar: Barry, shut up, mate! 'Cause I tell ya, your little brain cell might go off now and again, but if you hands even go to move, if you try to set up the Islamic State of Tinsley again, going to university lectures, opening your big mouth, buying some more silver nitrate from Amazon... I'm gonna rip your plugs out!

Barry: Not if you're not here, you won't!

[Waj shoves Barry's head back through into the boot of the car]

  • Barry: [car breaks down] Fuck, Fuck, fuck it!

Omar: Did you fix this then, Barry?

    Barry: Yes, I fixed it!

    Omar: Did ya?

Barry: It's the parts... they're Jewish.

Omar: What parts in a car are Jewish?

    [pause]

    Omar: Hmm?

    Fessal: Spark plugs.

Barry: Spark plugs! Jews invented spark plugs to control global traffic.
