"Fish Tank" is directed by Andrea Arnold, a young British female director, and is her second feature film. As a competition film at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, The Fishbowl was nominated for 8 awards at the 2009 British Independent Film Festival.
It's a very simple story. Mia, a girl from a single-parent family, has a grumpy mother and a younger sister who is full of generation gaps. Mia loves dancing, but can't share the joy with others, and her best friend left her. The first person to understand her from her dancing was Connor, her mother's boyfriend.
There is no way a mature male's attraction to a 15-year-old girl can be stitched together with words or lenses. At that time, it sprouted in the stage that the girl's heart could not contain and inevitably appeared.
