Destroy Hitchcock one by one

Hitchcock's films are always so fun, so I always have a heart, and I will put them down when I see them, especially the one that seems to be less well-known, that is, except for "Psychopath", "Vertigo", "Northwest" North", "Rear Window"... Seeing that this movie is on the Imdb top250 list, not to mention the reputation of Mr. Hitchcock, it can basically rule out the possibility of wasting time.
The male protagonist Uncle Charlie is the writer in "The Third Man", and the female protagonist Charlie is the daughter in Best Years Of Our Lives. Teresa Wright should be a girl, why does she always show a virtuous and virtuous young woman or aunt style, is it because of her hairstyle?
In fact, compared with other Historian films, there is not much to say about the plot. Father and friend are obsessed with murder, and it's dark and humorous to discuss how to kill each other all day long. The montage at the beginning of the film is very interesting, making people curious and want to watch it. The interspersed waltz scene is also quite ingenious, but I still hope that the process of how Uncle became a serial killer can be explained more clearly.
But what I like very much is the costumes in Shadow of a Doubt, retro and retro. Men's hats and double-breasted suits; women's dresses have a slender waist, and the skirt is long to the calf, but it is not old-fashioned, only ladylike and elegant, and retro shoes with thick heels, which should be stable to wear. Bar? Not to mention that when Charlie went to bed and took off her nightgown, the nightgown she was wearing was actually made of shiny silk, a shirt with puff sleeves and a belt on the upper body, and pajama pants of the same material on the lower body. Luxury~

Shadow of a Doubt quotes

  • Jack Graham: Charlie, think. How much do you know about your uncle?

Young Charlie Newton: Why, he's my mother's brother.

  • Young Charlie: Oh, what's the matter with you two? Do you always have to talk about killing people?

Joseph Newton: We're not talking about killing people. Herb's talking about killing me and I'm talking about killing him.

Emma Newton: It's your father's way of relaxing.

Young Charlie: Can't he find some other way to relax?
