The lustful shadow of the end.

Really liked "Chloe" compared to the original in '93. It's not because I don't like French movies, but I feel that "Chloe" is relatively close to the people, low-key and honest in terms of picture, character design, and the whole idea and attitude. When you have read countless movies, you will find that the dull, hesitant, obscure, and the little things that are obviously the primitive impulses of human beings have to pretend to be elegant, deep, subtle and even confusing dramas. It's really annoying and contradictory.
The most important thing is to tell the audience in what order and method, and to express the most crucial plot emotions and people in a vivid and fascinating way. The adapted "Chloe", as its director and screenwriter said, found Amanda and found the soul of the whole work. I believe that no one can move away from Amanda's indescribable face and eyes. When staring at her face, they will unconsciously generate many fantasies and enter another time and space of reverie.
And the combination of Amanda and Julianne is simply admirable, which makes the emotional conflict between the two women more full and real. We can even feel Catherine walking towards Chloe's side step by step, whether it is Whether we are seduced or not, the feeling of being attracted by some huge energy also happens to us. We followed Katherine and fell in love with Chloe little by little. When the "mistake" happened, it was completely impossible for one party to get out of the way, especially when such feelings were involved. So the two women's pursuit of revenge and refusal to retain them all ended at the moment when Chloe destroyed herself. .
Most of the time our inner sway and suspicion will lead us to take action to test our trust in that thing, and before that action, we are already on the road of no turning back. Selfish use of others, especially the feelings of others, will eventually involve one's soul into the abyss of sin, and only the execution of personal destruction can end all this.

Chloe quotes

  • Chloe: I guess I've always been pretty good with words. In my line of business. It's as important to be able to describe what I'm doing as it is to do what I'm doing. When to say what. What words to select.

Chloe: Some men hate to hear certain terms. They can't stand specific moves and then they can't live without others. It's part of my job to know where to place my hand, my lips, my tongue, my leg and even my thoughts.

Chloe: What kind of pressure, for how long, when to stop. I can become your first kiss... or a torn out image from a Playboy magazine that you found when you were 9 years old.

Chloe: Am I your secretary or am I your daughter? Maybe I'm your seventh grade math teacher you always hated. All I know is that if I do it just right, I can become your living, breathing, unflinching dream, and then I can actually disappear.

  • Catherine Stewart: How do you do this?

Chloe: I try to find something to love in everybody. Even if it's a small thing. Something about the way someone smiles. There's always something. There has to be. I try to make myself generous. I do things I don't wanna do. I think about what not to criticise. And the strangest things come back to me.

    Catherine Stewart: Like?

    Chloe: You.
