"My Neighbor Yamada-kun" gives me the same feeling as its painting style, plain but full of affection.
I remember a scene where Yamada-kun called his family at the station to bring an umbrella. But on the phone, he could hear the family pushing each other. Yamada-kun said angrily that he bought an umbrella. The old wife said quickly: Then bring some meat back by the way. Yamada-kun rushed into the supermarket to buy an umbrella, and stopped for a while after passing the place selling meat products. Finally bought it. When he was walking silently in the rain, he saw a family coming towards him with umbrellas. There was no sound on the screen, only they were smiling and helping each other to get things and walking home together.
