French comedies are generally not too funny (a bit of a joke...). Seeing them take Woody Allen to such a high position, you know that although this country claims to be a romantic country, it has been orthodox for too long (well, actually Woody Allen is also super in my heart. characters). "Tais Toi! "It's actually a lonely story about two extremely lonely people: one is "Rupee" played by Jean Reno, who is escaping from pursuit and his own man in the dark world; the other is "Steel Egg" played by Gerard Depordieu , the rough guy who wanted a friend for years and couldn't.
As mentioned earlier, the structure of the film is simple, the subject matter is bland, and the story is mediocre. Almost relying on acting skills to support the whole play, there are only a few small details, such as: Gangdan saw that when Ruby met a girl who looked very similar to Ruby's sweetheart, he began to complain endlessly that all the efforts he had done for the "Two Friends Bar" were not enough. Will be the RBI for that girl, and that part is pretty pure French humor; also: Ruby says to Steelball: You're going to go to heaven before everyone else..., which is pretty pure French values again . (Influenced by some British monographs...)
The French may not do comedy, but they obviously do.
Perhaps the only thing they can do is: leave a simple ending before a film ends up being a sigh. Although there are indeed many "sighing" scenes in this lonely film, the French are all hesitant to say anything, leaving all the hesitancy to the audience.
