My Fair Lady

Audrey Hepburn's, I read it today and listed a few thoughts.

1. Learning English is really important for finding a job, even if you are British.

This is a little joke, but it reflects a truth, the power of language is indeed very powerful. It can be seen from the legend of the ancient tower of Babel. Learn a new language and you have a new world.

2. If you can't find the ideal object in your mind, then you can cultivate one.

If you are not satisfied with the people around you, you can find a piece of rough jade and carve her according to your ideal appearance. There is a popular story recently that a certain male college student has trained a girl who sells sweet potatoes at the school gate into a college student, which can be called a modern version of a fair lady.

But this method has a paradox. It may be more difficult to find a piece of rough jade with real potential than to find a perfect finished product. So this story is still just for us to move.

3. Unlike Hepburn, it is unfortunate and lucky.

Unfortunately you can't see her in person. Luckily, when you are looking for an object, you don't always have a figure that is impossible to appear in the mortal world shaking in your heart. Now even an actress with the same potential as Hepburn would be ruined by fast-paced modern movies. Today's audience will no longer have the patience to watch the heroine's father sing a long repetitive boring song, and they will not have the opportunity to appreciate a heroine calmly displaying her quiet and elegant noble temperament.

A beautiful lady is a story about a linguist who picked up a poor accent on the road and taught her a lady’s accent and then knocked her down... If you are sick, do you like to hear the lady’s accent so much that you call a bed?

It was divided several times, and it took two or three months before and after I finally finished watching it. Even Goddess Hepburn couldn't save this boring film... And the part where Hepburn pretended to be crazy and stupid at the beginning was really annoying.

Professor Henry Higgins: Eliza? Where the devil are my slippers?

  • Professor Henry Higgins: You might marry, you know. You see, Eliza, all men are not confirmed old bachelors like myself and the Colonel. Most men are the marrying sort, poor devils. And you're not bad-looking; you're really quite a pleasure to look at sometimes. Not now, of course, when you've been crying, you look like the very devil; but when you're all right, and quite yourself, you're what I would call... attractive.
