"Magic Nanny McPhee 2": Giving children more responsibility

Aunt Emma Thompson gave up the finale of Harry Potter and carefully prepared the second part of The Magic Nanny. Is it really worth it? Still a little question mark.

Since the first film was well received, it showed a fantastical scene, and the story was very close to children, making the production of a sequel a lot more stressful. Five years is not conducive to the sequel, and the babysitter who is sought after by children and has a magic cane has become much less popular, and even gradually forgotten. And the longer the interval, the greater the pressure on the film. It's really not easy to surpass the first one, because it's already quite good from narrative to scene.

Let's compare the next two films with the remaining memories. It should be said that the most beautiful impression left by the first part is the climax scene of the white snow wedding; as the climax of the sequel, the yellow wheat flying in the sky is obviously inferior in vision. However, this film is not too rigid about the previous work, to repeat the process of education, it can be seen that it has been deliberately downplayed, and gives children more sense of responsibility. In the absence of Dad, they naturally help Mom to share the burden of the family. There is a lot of work on the farm for several young children to do. In order to keep the farm, they paid as much effort as adults, and bravely went to find the truth when their mother was deceived. So it is obvious that the focus of the sequel has shifted from the children's troubles and "war" to the sense of responsibility, and is slowly growing up.

While shifting the focus, the film also gave the magic nanny more play, and the crutches in her hands were more magical, with more magical performances. Except for the first meeting and punishing the children a little, the nanny at the back is a good person, helping the children to complete their tasks and helping the family reunite. It can be said that the sequel is more sunny and child-like, and even the villainous monsters are dealt with quite childishly and funny.

However, although there have been many changes, there are still not many breakthroughs, and it is really difficult for Auntie. It's just a pity for her, the epic finale of Harry Potter, such an opportunity is only once in a lifetime, and it's a pity to give up for this sequel.
