This is the letter that Daniel passed on to Margaret after he was rescued and died

Dear Margaret:

For three years I have witnessed unspeakable horrors and it seems pointless to write this letter. I often think about how my life will be when we are together. But as the years passed, I began to understand that it was just a dream. There is one thing I must tell you, your importance to me is indescribable, not just to me, but to everyone here, with the courage you gave me, I can only cheer for my subordinates. Maybe one day, we will have a second chance. I miss you, words are indescribable, and I owe you a debt that will never be repaid.

love you daniel
