There are a lot of moving and shocking things, let’s pick the three that feel the deepest.
First, the male protagonist persevered in the 40-day test despite his reluctance. Not only did he have the support and encouragement of his father, but I believe that the love of the Lord Jesus was working in his heart, influencing him and urging him to persevere. For the first few weeks, he was completely perfunctory, but the more he felt about the words of the Bible as he went on, the changes became apparent.
Second, the male host is willing to die for strangers who have nothing to do with him. But to his wife, because of the lack of good communication between the two, he always expressed his dissatisfaction. Think about us in reality, why not? In the face of those we know and love us, we always ignore their love for us; while for strangers we don't know at all, we are willing to lend a helping hand. Isn't this a paradox of love? Think about our own parents, family... God shows us the best example of love in his love.
Third, the role played by the hero's mother. When I saw the end of the film and learned from my father that the 40-day test of love was originally written by my mother to my father, I was really moved. This kind of moving can only be experienced in the love of Jesus.
This is a good movie. For people without faith, it may seem like an inspirational love film, but I believe that the director must have the power of God operating in it during the filming process. Therefore, in my opinion, it will be so touching and moved.
"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.)—— Romans 5:8
