Tatis pointed a gun at her and watched vigilantly as she nursed the baby he snatched. She looked serene and beautiful. He inspected the shabby furnishings in the house, pointed to a string of wind chimes strung with shards of colored glass and asked her, "How much do you sell this for?" She replied, "Fifty yuan." He couldn't believe it: "These shards are you? It sells for fifty yuan?!" She stroked the baby and looked at him: "In your eyes, it's just broken glass, but what I see is color, light and shadow."

Redemption, bondage and other words don't really suit me...I just like the tone and color of the film...South Africa is far away from me, but the picture is right in front of me. All the way lyrical coupled with the protagonist's thug identity, there is a strong contrast to me. Maybe the ending is his best home~ Maybe...
