Scott Adkins is the next Jean-Pierre

"Undisputed 3" is the kind of pure prison action movie. This kind of movie doesn't need extravagance for the plot, just for the action scenes. I have seen several similar films, such as Jason Statham's "Death Race" (but most of the racing scenes), WWE's Stone Cold Steve Austin's "The Condemned", the recent Gerard Butler's "Gamer", etc. The ancestors of similar films are considered Arnold Schwarzenegger's "The Running Man", the film that was once translated as "Passing the Challenge" and introduced in China, is a classic in my childhood.
"Undisputed3" is no exception. Although prison-themed movies are prone to sparks, the director obviously didn't want to put too much effort into the plot. If you look closely, there are a lot of things that don't make sense in the film. The warden plotted against Turbo, why didn't he plot against Boyka? How did Turbo get entangled with Gaga in the end? And Gaga's final transformation was just too dramatic, or too inexplicable? ! Boyka is a simple person, his purpose in participating in this game is very simple, not even for pure freedom, "God gave me a talent, that is fighting", so he will drag his injured leg back to the fighting ring . Helping Turbo because of his sympathy is probably a little revealing of his true feelings. Boyka, who was free at the end of the film, burst out laughing. I believe it wasn't because of the box of banknotes around him, right?
However, the action scenes of the film are absolutely enjoyable, although the fighters do not fully reflect the characteristics of their own countries. Boyka is of course the character with the most comprehensive fighting ability in the film. He perfectly combines speed, power and explosive power. Even his severely injured knee has little effect on him in the ring. Another impressive character is the Capoeira technique of the Brazilian Santiago Silva, which players familiar with the Tekken series must be very familiar with. It's very similar to Eddie in Tekken. It's the first time I've seen a real person fight with this. They dodge and move around the ring. It's very gorgeous. Capoeira is more like a street dance. It's no wonder that the director didn't begrudge Silva's role. There are not many highlights of other characters, especially the Colombian Dolor as the final Boss, who is full of Pussy. It seems that the pace is not bad, but the attack power is too weak.
Turning over the resume of Scott Adkins, the star of the film, the "Undisputed" series is one of his few works that have played a major role. He has acted in "Bourneage" and "Wolverine", but they are all absolute dragon roles. But he and Jean-Claude Vincent have too many similarities. Also from Europe, also admire Bruce Lee, also learned oriental martial arts. It's just that Scott Adkins studied taekwondo when compared with the karate master Shange Winton. His big screen debut even collaborated with a Hong Kong director, which has something in common with Shange Winton, who has a lot of roots in Hong Kong movies. The two of them even cooperated in "The Shepherd", but the old The guy didn't give the young man much opportunity to perform. In fact, with Scott's kung fu accomplishments, he is completely capable of standing on his own. At his age, his appearance is not inferior (Scott Adkins is very handsome when he takes off his beard and keeps his long hair, and he has some British style). At least not worse than those WWE muscle men, since The Rock can get tens of millions of dollars, Scott Adkin can also look forward to the future.
