The first thing I want to declare is that my so-called regret does not mean that this film is not worth watching, but it is slightly less than my expectations. Some are not as expected. In fact, many of the bad movies I recommend are actually very good. This "Green Zone" is such a film that I had high expectations for, but actually made me a little regretful.
The anticipation for this film mainly comes from starring Matt Damon and director Greengrass. I believe that everyone in the "Bourne Bourne" series will be familiar with it, so today, after the end of the third part, we will look forward to the two of them even more. Re-cooperation of people.
From the images above, including the previous trailer, we can all tell that the story takes place in Baghdad, during the Iraq War. With such a large background, there are too many story themes to play, and this film tells the story of the special forces searching for WMD (weapons of mass destruction) in Iraq. Looking at it now, the Iraq war should be over, and the United States has never found their so-called WMD, so the conspiracy theories in the international community have never subsided. And now it appears that this is indeed the case.
I always thought that this was another lone hero action movie similar to The Bourne Bourne, but it turned out to be a plot of political conspiracy theories. The special forces sergeant Miller played by Damon found that the WMD search activities he had been engaged in had not progressed, so he felt that there was a problem with the source of intelligence and raised questions, but no one paid him any attention. Until one operation, an Iraqi native came to provide a tip, they found the Jack of Clubs in the wanted playing card at that time. It stands to reason that the next story scenes can be expanded and the conspiracy can be told more, but the film has left many plots in the boring dialogue. The role of the intelligence notebook that I finally obtained was also brought to light. The informant I finally caught confessed the truth without much torture, and then hung up~
All Miller has to do, except for the bald mustache from another special force, it seems that there are no difficulties and bottlenecks, and the method of finally obtaining the conspiracy participant "Magellan" behind it seems to be too much. easy. Everything, everything, feels too logical. And the final result was just as smooth. The Americans and the Iraqis had reached an agreement before, but some fabricated rumors about WMD and then invaded Iraq, and then killed the Iraqi minister to silence it for the sake of secrecy!
The subsequent plot can also be described as lighthearted and pleasant, and the ending is almost 100% in my conjecture, which is the conjecture of most of the audience. The war has happened and the pain has been caused, so all we can do is to let go of the so-called sense of justice and make a compromise to the whole world. Miller knew this, and deeply felt powerless. When he grabbed Plum J at the last second, he was blown away by a local Iraqi citizen~ This is the so-called arrangement of fate.
The film is all shot by hand, so the camera shake is very strong, and it has a real-life feeling. And the color of the whole film is yellow, and it has the feeling of a black eagle falling. There are many explosions in the film, but it seems that there are basically no casualties of American soldiers. I thought that Damon could stage a spectacular scene with one enemy and many enemies, but Damon was actually managed by another majestic mustache in it. As for the role of the CIA agent in the film, it is indeed very bureaucratic, and the other Iraqi people Acting is quite interesting. In the end, our hero Miller couldn't change the whole picture of the war or tell people the truth, so he chose to mass-mail all the reporters what he knew. After all, this is a war with the ending we know, and as for one person, what can be changed is too little.
So in my opinion, the plot of the film is a little bland. Although it has a profound sense of irony about US policy, it is not what an audience who consumes as entertainment needs. That's how the story goes, the way we expected it to, and then it ends as we know it. In my opinion, the Captain Miller of this film, whoever plays it, is a bird. It's just a waste of Matt Damon, hehe.
Well, this film is over, and finally I have good news for you: Universal has recently finalized the script for "The Bourne 4" written by Tony Gilroy, the screenwriter of the "Bourne Bourne" series! Wow haha!
