Three teenagers, three youth

Even without considering the music, actors, and tone, just from the story itself, I still think the film "Ceremonial Crossing" is a good film and a very sincere film.

Youth - this is a complex subject, how many people have discussed youth through the ages. Some people do their best to make a fuss on the surface of youth, sighing the sadness of youth, and they can also sigh with emotion, which is dazzling; while some people insist on stripping youth, looking at the articles inside, gnawing at this. A hard bone. "Cemetery Crossing" attempts to show us three kinds of youth through the story of three rebellious teenagers through the decadent place of Cemetery Crossing in England in the 1970s.

The first kind of youth: Bruce, a rebellious teenager who likes to fight. He has strong dissatisfaction with life and some things in life. He is determined to say goodbye to the bleak life, but he has never dared to practice it. Many of us have gone through this phase of our lives, right? Rebellion, dissatisfaction, escape, impulsiveness, which can be said to be common problems in adolescence. However, after all, this is only a short stage of life, and soon we will find that the original dissatisfaction may be naive, or it may be misunderstood, or it may not be worthy of such dissatisfaction. Bruce finally gave up his dissatisfaction with his father through the words of the fat policeman. But would Bruce follow Freddy to roam the world without the Fat Cop passage? I think either not, or wait until the time comes and he forgives his father and goes back to Cemetery Crossing. Because he was just dissatisfied with the moment, dissatisfied with his father, but didn't know what he wanted.

The second kind of youth: Freddie, has a job as an insurance salesman. If he follows the rules, he can lead a rich but boring life, but he has his own ideals, and he is so deviant but so strong. This reminds me of myself and the classmates around me. There are many such people in our school: elementary school, junior high school and high school have always achieved excellent grades. They have chosen a very rich major in university, graduate and then graduate and doctoral students. After graduation, they naturally find a decent job that matches their major. , and finally live a prosperous life. In fact, many people are eager to abandon what they have and pursue their dreams, but the price to pay is prohibitive, especially in China. At the end of the movie, Freddie chose to roam the world with Julie, romantic and beautiful. But what if it was in China? In China, the treatment of homeless people is very different from that in European countries. In China, you have no money, no power, no social status, no respect, and in the final analysis, it is caused by too much competition pressure.

The third youth: snooker, not understood by others, with different ideas, often ridiculed by others, torn between changing himself to adapt to others and insisting on himself. As I summed up in the review I wrote for the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid two days ago, "It's cool to be yourself, but it's usually not cool." Snooker was finally lucky enough to meet someone who understood him, his confidante. But how many people are "non-mainstream" (in a broad sense) like snooker who can finally find a confidant in the vast sea of people? Even if we find it, can we be satisfied that only one person recognizes our value in life? Therefore, in fact, most people have embarked on the path of catering to the "popular taste", talking about humor that everyone can understand, singing songs acceptable to the public, writing superficial words that the public likes to read, and doing what the public is doing. thing.

The appearance of the heroine of the movie, on the one hand, shows the power of love, and on the other hand, it includes the pursuit of self by thoughtful women. The last scene in the movie got me thinking for a long time: on the train Freddie asks Julie what made her decide to get on the train at the last minute, and Julie says it's because she's in love with him. So in the end, did Julie abandon her original life because of her desire to pursue her dream, or did she choose the romantic Freddie because of the neglect of her fiancé? In the middle of the film, Freddie also made it clear that his decision to roam the world was related to falling in love with Julie. Perhaps the ideals and love of the male and female protagonists are mutually reinforcing and interdependent.

Final words:

After watching this film, I first thought of Guo Jingming's concept of youth - youth is a bright sadness and a series of novels and essays on this theme. I just want to say, if I didn't read Guo Jingming's book in junior high school, but watched such a movie, then in those nights when I cried inexplicably for the sadness of my youth, I should be thinking about my own youth and ideals, right? But Bruce walked out of youth and entered maturity because he was no longer dissatisfied and rebellious; Snooker walked out of youth and entered maturity because no one understood and no longer thought alone. Will I also get out of youth early because I see through youth?

A good choice to kill time at night, it's very useful in a bland way, it was originally for watching Uncle La, and I wasn't disappointed. At the end, the girl's brown dress is so beautiful, and the last shot is also beautiful. In short, there is no expectation or disappointment!
