The doctor said in front of the dying patient: "You are about to die, you will die tonight"; the handsome boyfriend said to his girlfriend: "Anyway, you will be old and ugly and wrinkled in the future." The fired Mark says, "you're a loser." These cruel, nonsensical words are vividly expressed in this film.
Seeing this, I can't help feeling that a world without lies is so terrible and cruel. So many naked blows, so many blunt criticisms. At times like these, lies seem to be an essential buffer in life. Thus, the lie was born.
But with the advancement of the movie lens, we seem to see another side of the lie the movie wants to express. Liars get a moment of joy and excitement, but after the excitement is endless emptiness. A lie can change a moment's mood, but it can't change the truth. The loser is still the loser.
The movie dissects the lie. On the one hand, we see the cuteness of the lie, which makes the lost friends regain hope in life; on the other hand, we also see the empty nature of the lie. In fact, the lie itself is not important, what is important is the true feelings of the liar. Saying to my wife's unpalatable dish, "This is really delicious on earth." Although this is a lie, what we feel is warmth and true affection. Lies are just like the "the man in the sky" in the film, which is illusory. But sometimes people would rather believe in nothingness than face their own hearts. At the final wedding, anna asked that person in the sky how he decided whether he should marry brad. Mark said helplessly, "Don't ask that person in the sky, I want to know what you think. "
We must admit that we live in a world full of lies. Lie is such an important and indispensable buffer, we don't need to draw a line with him. But we must be clear where the real happiness comes from. Not the flawlessly woven "posthumous bliss" lie (the one that just stalled Mark's friend's life); not the hypocritical flattery (what the hypocrite really thinks is shown in this film downright); true happiness comes from within oneself. Mark really loves anna deep in his heart, so he is willing to tell her all the facts at the last minute. Anna also finally understood the life she really wanted. In the film mark says to his mother's grave "why people don't want to listen to what they really want?"
I think they themselves don't know what they want.
Stop believing lies, trust your heart.
