"XXY" (French film "The Legend of Bisexuality" or "I'm a Girl, Also a Boy") is
a French film, a literary film, and the whole piece is a bit dark in the seaside lomo tone (it may also be that the version I downloaded is not so good. clear...). It looks deep and hesitant, coupled with a little sticky French, without staring at the subtitles, it will run away for a while.
The structure is very simple, there are few actors, and the plot is a little pale and boring, but it's literary. Apparently so. The story begins with a child with double genitalia, 15 years old, both a girl and a boy. Living by the sea, people make a living by fishing. Without towering buildings, time seems slow and narrow. ALEX (the protagonist of the movie) turned into a charming little monster at the age of 15, with curly hair and firm eyes. I read an article before, which said that the most beautiful are the species and people who are both male and female. In short, I am quoting, and those who disagree will go to the next sentence. The child in the story can't tell the gender, and the special doesn't seem to belong to this world. He knows his special, and he is proud and disdainful to be the enemy of the whole world.
It's like, everyone wants absolute freedom, but if you really want to find it, there will be many obstacles. Others always don't believe us, and they don't believe what we want are those worthless, worthless feelings. The movie is also the same, ALEX thinks of himself as a boy, and his parents want him to be a girl, they give him a lot of drugs to reduce his male characteristics, all in vain.
The story itself is not worth repeating, the plot is very dry, but the film texture, dialogue, scene, and even the background sound unique to literary films give people a clean and peaceful feeling. Barter stalls on the coast are hung with strings of whale teeth.

Again, the story itself is not worth repeating. It's just the way of life in a small French town, with no restraints on each other, a beautiful calfskin book, an iron plate symbolizing the migration route of sea turtles, and a soft bed to lie down with wet clothes. These are still quite charming.
It is very difficult to see through, as I said, it is a long and boring literary film. It just feels good, there are always new expectations, and I will always watch and see the end.
To put it simply, it is a teenager who has a dual identity of androgyny. At the age of 15, he was confused about himself, his gender, and the world. He wanted to change but couldn't adapt, but he became charming and special because of it.
After discovering ALEX's obsession with gender, the family decided not to make choices based on their own preferences. Then there is the mutual love and reluctance between teenagers. Only people who are similar to themselves will try and understand their true thoughts.
I thought ALEX and ALVARO were in love, no matter who they were or what values they were classified by.
There is no reason for love itself, even if they are both boys.
