After reading The Bicycle Stealer, the pioneering work of Italian neorealism, I went through my alma mater Jiaotong University and went to the bar to watch football. I remembered the three bicycles that were stolen in a row on campus during the university days, the Permanent, the Phoenix and the Unknown Classic Car; and the movie protagonist. Their experience is similar: when people become poor, they will take care of everything, and the same is true in today's society. In fact, European film critics have long pointed out that the old Shanghai film "Road Angel" in the 1930s was the originator of realism.
