Why is there a "Frightening Island"?

The best suspense thriller of the '80s, and it's still star-studded today.
In the late 1990s, "Island Cry" appeared. Just like the schizophrenia fever, there have been endless genre films that have once again aimed at an unexpected ending, but this time the origin of the ancestors has become the "sixth sense", not this film. The result was the classic "Frightening Island".
The ending is imitated, but the process is different. This film is more detailed and suspenseful, the atmosphere is better controlled, the plot wiring is more worrying, and the entertainment and artistry are more unified. Compared with the successor, it is slightly better.

From the beginning of the beach, it is a god-level horror shadow. If you don't enjoy the cult, or the Frankenstein-esque, or Stephen King-esque, or Rusty Lake Twin Peaks-esque creepy setups, or just the slow-moving oldies, it's hard to appreciate it.

Thinking that this is a film from thirty years ago, add two stars. The ending was as expected.

Dead & Buried quotes

  • Janet Gillis: Dan, I'm dead! Please bury me!

  • Dan Gillis: Betty and her toys. There's nobody else to talk to on that damn police channel and she can't call me by my name. That's TV cop shows, Harry. That's what does it.

Harry: Do you think the county would let me have this rig for salvage?

Dan Gillis: Anyhow, she said that he was on his way.

Harry: Okay, no hurry. The fellow in there is a definite goner. Get a good gander that that face, Danny?
