UK disc-release info has come in for SHELTER, the supernatural fright flick we previously told you about here. The movie stars HANNIBAL's Julianne Moore as a forensic psychiatrist whose world slowly starts to erode when she investigates a new patient (THE TUDORS' Jonathan Rhys Meyers) with multiple personality disorder, and finds that each of his personalities is a different murder victim.

Icon Home Entertainment launches SHELTER August 2 on British DVD and Blu-ray, with bonus features including audio commentary, a making-of featurette and deleted scenes. Stateside genre fans will have to wait a little longer to see the film, which is slated for a late-December US theatrical opening via The Weinstein Company, while E1 Entertainment will handle the film in Canada. SHELTER was directed by the Swedish duo Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein (STORM) and scripted by IDENTITY's Michael Cooney. Check out the UK websites here and here.

    When the wizard appears, the mystical tension of the film disappears. In fact, witchcraft, at least in film and television works, is very unimaginative. Sometimes being too mysterious means anything is possible, just do whatever you want.
