have gratitude.
When eating meat, perhaps we can think about
what kind of calf, lamb or chicken this piece of meat looks like.
Where were they born, where were their faces branded, whether their tails and mouths were broken.
How long have they lived. How long have you been dead.
What's on their minds as they get their throats slashed and bled and shave their skins.
When wearing a fur coat, perhaps we can think about
how this fluffy hide was plucked from a bloody corpse or a steaming living body.
Was its owner supposed to be white, soft, smart, and cute.
Has its owner never knew what it's like to run in nature.
Does its owner find it harder to go around in circles irritably in a cage than to die outside.
When watching a circus, perhaps we can think about how the
circus brings us happiness by what means.
The lions jumped in a big circle of fire, is it really for the piece of meat in the hands of the breeder?
The rebellious wild elephant has become so docile that he is beaten several times a day.
Why do noble beasts amuse you idiots?
When we go to the zoo, maybe we can think about
how many companions they have come from the African savannah and have left their companions, won't they feel lonely?
Will the dead chickens and dead rabbits in the hands of the breeders taste good?
Stupid rockery and fake river, when will the smiling faces of stupid children stop.
Can we understand them from our own subjective perspective?
"Civilized" people like us don't need to kill with our own hands.
And what you don't see, can you just pretend it never happened?
if it is possible. We are vegetarian.
if it is possible. We reject animal products.
if it is possible. We close circuses and zoos.
if it is possible. We don't use them for in vivo experiments.
if it is possible. Let's hug our pets.
if it is possible. We promise they will never stray again.
if it is possible. We treat all life as equal.
If not. We look forward to the arrival of 2012
